Ana De Orbegoso

Historic Memory brings together a series of projects that constitute the artist’s most recent work, in which her gaze turns to the configuration of an imaginary. Through the appropriation and reinterpretation of history, De Orbegoso analyses the transformation of the cultural event, a status quo that is becoming both more relevant and more diffuse with the accelerated advance of globalisation. In this phase, the artist continues her exploration through a variety of formal strategies and techniques. For De Orbegoso, the photographic medium is an inexhaustible resource for the construction of an image that acts as a mediator between identity and (self-)representation.
